We are planning on debuting the sauce line at OzzFest in July 2008. After speaking with Zakk last week he told me he is having a Limited Number of his Custom Signed Les Paul Guitars made for me to give out to a special few chilihead locations around the globe this fall (Over $6,000 Value Each). Ok I have so much to tell you about but I need to stop. I need to talk instead of type. Anyway, will speak to ya soon, with so much more to tell ya.
So many things have been going on in Death Sauce Land over the last few months. So much in fact that I could not explain everything in just one e-Mail. Over the next couple of weeks I will be sending out several additional messages covering many exciting topics.
Today I want to announce that Blair's and Zakk Wylde have partnered in a unique line of “Berserker Brand” Hot Sauces. As I am sure many of you know Zakk Wylde has been The lead axe man With Ozzy Osbourne for almost 20 years and has an incredible following of millions of fans from around the world. I am very honored to be working with him directly on this project and was psyched to learn he has been a long time Death Sauce fan, not to mention a fellow Jersey boy. We will be launching 4 unique sauces in June 2008. These sauces will be available via www.ExtremeFood.com, www.ZakkWylde.com, Ozzfest, As well as many other major retailers around the globe that will be announced soon.
Take a look at the prototype of the label below as well as a message directly from Zakk. Again this is a very exciting event for Blair's and we look forward to millions of new chiliheads joining us in using and collecting both Zakk's sauces as well as my reserves. Enjoy the ride! Prototype Zakk Wylde Label

PS: Please note it has just come to my attention that several hundred emails have been sent to me and were buried in my spam folder. If you did not get a response, please send and questions or comments to blair@extremefood.com and I promise to respond.
FROM ZAKK WYLDE:
"When it came time to choose a company to introduce a recipe of flavors geared towards my fan base, the Berserkers, only one company was considered: Blair's. So I made the call right away.
Blair's Death Sauce has taken first position in my rack of flavors for sometime, and it's been my go-to sauce for anything I've cooked, grilled or recently killed that needs that extra punch. The thought that I could build on that Blair's tradition, and bring it to my audience is huge. And it's getting bigger since we decided one flavor is not enough- so we're going with 4 flavors to launch."

A registered member of OZZY OSBOURNE's official forum has posted the following "review" of Ozzy's April 3, 2008 concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:
"BLACK LABEL SOCIETY were great, as always, and played the same set they did in Buenos Aires, Argentina [the previous] Sunday. Much to my delight, there were lots of SDMFers (as BLS fans are affectionately known' stands for either 'Strength. Determination. Merciless. Forever' or 'Society Dwelling Motherfucker,' depending on whom you ask — Ed.) wearing the colors in the crowd!
"Then came KORN, and ... Ozzy! Ozzy was in great form, singing his heart out and Zakk [Wylde, Ozzy's guitarist] was all smiles and giggles with the other guys in the band. They also played the same set as in Buenos Aires, but included a full version of 'No More Tears' — and the crowd went crazy.
"During the first few notes of 'Paranoid' (the last song of the night), Zakk threw the Rebel [guitar] at the audience — just as he did at all other gigs around the world. But the crowd (and security) thought he was giving the guitar away, and didn't want to give it back. Zakk then jumped into the crowd to have it back and the crowd went even crazier.
"By then, Ozzy, Blasko [Rob 'Blasko' Nicholson; Ozzy's bassist] and Mike [Bordin, drums] were still playing 'Paranoid' without Zakk. It took some looooong minutes for the security to manage to get Zakk back onstage. The Rebel was only only recovered a few minutes later, and with a broken neck. Zakk was clearly upset with the situation just threw the guitar aside, and Ozzy and Blasko were trying to cheer him up…
"I felt really sorry for him, but had the greatest time in my life!"
Watch footage of the incident below.

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY bassist John "JD" DeServio has signed with Reform Records for his project CYCLE OF PAIN.
Accompanying DeServio in CYCLE OF PAIN is vocalist/rhythm guitarist Gregg Locascio, lead guitarist Joe Taylor (who plays with Doro Pesch) and drummer Rich Monica. In fact, DeServio, Locascio and Taylor were in a band together when they were only 15 years old. "We grew up together," says DeServio. "It's family, just like BLS."
The reason behind CYCLE OF PAIN is simple, "The tunes were written to create some awesome music," explains DeServio. "This record is very diverse. Our influences range from BLACK SABBATH to JOHN COLTRANE, there's even a piano ballad with string arrangements on here. Zakk Wylde is going to do a guitar solo or two and Brian Tichy will be on a few songs as well. CYPRESS HILL is also doing a track with us."
Endorsed by Schecter Guitars and an alumni of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, DeServio's rock 'n' roll resume includes playing bass for LITA FORD when she opened for MÖTLEY CRÜE on the "Dr. Feelgood" tour. DeServio then joined UFO guitarist Vinnie Moore's band for their opening stint in front of RUSH on the "Roll the Bones" tour. Aligning himself with Zakk Wylde in PRIDE & GLORY, DeServio got to open for AEROSMITH. In addition to working with Richie Kotzen and Derek Sherinian amongst others, DeServio often holds bass clinics and teaches.
CYCLE OF PAIN's debut will be release late spring 2008.

Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) lent his signature guitar squeals to DOPE on the new track "Addiction". A video for "Addiction" is currently in development.
DOPE recently completed a U.S. headlining tour showcasing new tracks from "No Regrets", including the track "Violence" for which they shot a video during the tour. A snippet of the unmixed track is up on the band's web site now. On the West Coast leg of the tour, DOPE was direct support for BLACK LABEL SOCIETY at the request of Zakk Wylde.

Here is a tip for the faint of heart - never put these three things
together: Zakk Wylde, a bar napkin, and a pencil. As anybody
familiar with Zakk will know - and as one listen to his
ferocious playing with Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne
will prove - what springs from Zakk’s mind is bound to be wild.
After all, this is the man who combined country-flavored chicken
pickin’ with total metal intensity to revolutionize the sound
of heavy guitar. The new Gibson Custom Zakk Wylde ZV is no
exception. Half SG, half Flying V, all Zakk. From the mind of Zakk
Wylde and the craftsmanship of Gibson Custom comes one of the
wildest guitars Gibson has ever made. Just imagine what it would have looked like a few drinks later.
I recently talked to J.D. about what he's been up to, and he had the following to say:
I'm doin my own record with my bro's from Jersey. Its called Cycle of Pain. It's like Sabbath, Floyd, Zeppelin, everything we love. We just started recording so it'll be out next year some time. My singer's name is Gregg Locascio with Joe Taylor on guitars. Rich Monica and
Brian Tichy are on drums. We're gonna have some guests as well.
I have lots of clinics and stuff comin up in the future.
I just played at Bass Player live in NY and I just did a skit for
Hartke's MySpace that should be up next week.
